Goddess Lycia has gone blonde, and She's having more fun. Do blondes always have more fun?
There is a study that concludes that cavemen preferred blonde women, and that there may still be a "caveman within" that causes men to be attracted to blondes. According to this study, blonde hair first arose 10,000 years ago in Europe, and its flourish is explained by cavemen's preference for it in their mates. It doesn't explain what caused this preference, but my guess would be that because cavepeople were certainly filthy, a fair-haired woman would seem unearthly and probably Goddess-like; and thus, more desirable as a mate.
Our modern-day attitudes are surely affected by cultural experiences as well as our embedded caveman preferences. The icon of the perfect female as blonde has been used as propaganda in Germany, Russia and the United States by governments and the media in the 20th century.
There is a book-i haven't read it-"On Blondes," whose author argues that modern women become more desirable and powerful when they fake their hair color. Princess Diana transformed herself from mousy Sloane to model by spending £4,000 a year having her hair bleached. When Madonna turned blonde, sales soared; her first album as a non-brunette, True Blonde, sold 20 million copies.
Interesting, polls suggest that men are more physically attracted to blondes than non-blondes, but are more likely to bring a brunette "home to mom," and to marry a brunette. These studies also suggest that there is still a cultural bias that blonde women are less intelligent than brunettes, despite the presence of powerful blonde world figures like Hillary Clinton and Margaret Thatcher.
With all that being said, i think Goddess Lycia looks more fantastic than ever. i don't know that She is more beautiful to me, because Her beauty runs so deep. i do think that She looks more glamorous. Her blue eyes, set off by the blonde hair, will make your eyes pop out. i hope She continues to have more fun.
