Goodbye chocolate..Hello....
Posted On 03/17/2008 10:10:31 by MIssMeg
I will finish that sentence on Thursday ......... I have been told that I have diabetes and with my sugars in the low 200's I would have to agree ... I feel like a pin cushion --- with 6 different sticks for numerous different tests in the past few days I have NOT been myself... so I took a few days to re- coop and feel better now and am back to ME!!! Well kinda NOT fully me but close enough to get back here and play catch up with all my shit that has hit the back burner over the course of the last few weeks.... I felt great today actually-- so I tested my blood and it was at a low compared to what it has been it was ONLY (haha) 143 ! Still high but not the 200's it has been....... I do not know yet what they will determine is the course of action for this as I do NOT fit your typical Adult onset diabetic. I can say that I have NOT had a Mt. Dew since the 25th of Feb. and I do NOT miss it at all.. Strange NEVER thought I would say that but I really do not..... I do however miss that strawberry pie that was at my friends house today while I was there watching the race! I do miss my M&M's and I super miss those cute little peeps that are in every store and every aisle you walk down right now!!! Fuck............................. do I miss them!! They look soo cute if you put them in the microwave for 30 seconds-- all fluffy and puffy ohhhhh sooo gooey... Oh well.. I will live... I thought I would inform E/everyone of what has been going on.. and I know it don't mean the end of the world BUT it does mean the end of my sugar induced energy bursts!!! So hold on softly cause it will be just a bump in the road and Miss Meg will be back fully in swing and crossing my fingers that it will be fast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Ms. Meg.  i discovered i had diabetes about five years ago when my former Mistress told me to get a full physical from my doctor before she would play with me.  i have managed to keep it under control with medication (Have You been prescribed any?),   with exercise, and with diet.  Less sugar is certainly part of that diet, but there are so many sugarfree (made with Splenda) items in the marketplace, that i even get to indulge my chocolate fetish.  Keep Your head up Ma'am.  Maybe W/we should start a D/s diabetes support group?

Thanks to E/everyone... I know I will get through this ... just thought I would let E/everyone know what was going on... When I first found out I was shocked to say the least .... because that is what my dad passed away from and so it was a hard realization ... but I know that I will not let it get me down as it didn't him... just have to be careful in what I choose to do with my life and I know the right from wrongs so I should be just fine!!! Thanks again :)

That's scary, here's hoping the docs can get it all figured out and under control pronto!

I tried giving up sugar recently, and I was an appalling failure at it. I hadn't realized how difficult it would be.

I hope you get to feeling 100% soon.
